Červená Hora

The original castle was established in 1253-1278 as part of three castles built on the Úpa River (along with Rýzmburk and Vízmburk). At the time the castle was a large construction with a vast courtyard. In 1427 the castle was captured by the Hussites and destroyed; since 1601 it has been regarded as deserted. Visible today are remnants of the walls, moat, and ramparts.
