The region offers a large range of galleries and museums. Almost every city in the region has its own museum documenting its regional history. Museums thematically focused are a speciality, such as the Třebechovické Museum of Nativity Scenes, the Railway Museum of Výtopna Jaroměř, The Puppet Museum in Chrudim, the Hippological Museum on the premises of the chateau in Slatinany, the Museum of Handicrafts Nový Dvůr in Letohrad, the Industrial Museum Mladějov or open-air museums – e.g. the Group of Folk Buildings Vysočina in Hlinsko and on Vesely Hill or the open-air museum Krňovice in the Podorlice area.
