Králický Sněžník - mountain range, national nature reservation, peak
Králický Sněžník is the highest peak (1,424 m) of the mountain range with the same name, which is also the third highest in the Czech Republic. The area was declared a national nature preserve in 1990. The name of the mountain is taken from the long winter period – the snow cover on the peak lasts up to 8 months of the year. From 1899 to 1973 a stone observation tower stood on the Polish side of the peak. Located here is a stone marking the meeting point of the Czech kingdom, the Moravian margraviate...
